Description
The Britannia Building Society is a terraced pair of classical buildings dating from the 19th century. They are three stories tall and feature two-window scribed stucco frontages, with the left side being broader. The buildings have an overall balustraded parapet, a moulded cornice, and a plain entablature. The roofs are covered with slate, and there are roughcast and brick chimney stacks. The bays are divided by pilaster strips, which have altered bases. The windows are 12-pane sash windows, and there is a cill band on the second floor. The ground floor has modern shop fronts.
