Description
Ashfield is a Grade II listed building with a two-window front facing Merthyr Mawr Road. It features cambered heads above the casement windows, which have louvred shutters and are situated over a veranda. This veranda wraps around the four-window south front, supported by quatrefoil trellised cast ironwork uprights with Gothic spandrels. The main entrance is located on the asymmetrical three-window north side, which has a stucco first floor. Above the later lean-to porch, there is a tall semi-circular headed window, and the entrance includes a six-panel door with colored glass sash. The eastern arm has two casement windows. The rear gable end is finished in stucco and includes a single-storey extension that combines rubble and a surgery to the east, topped with a single verge roof.
