Description
Ynys Corrwg Farm is a two-storey house dating from the 19th century, built across a steep slope. It consists of a main hall range and a later, slightly higher, north wing that joins at right angles to create an L-shaped plan. The walls are cement-rendered over rubble stone and painted white. The hall range has a renewed slate roof with brick stacks in the centre and to the right end; the north wing has an asbestos-cement roof and a brick stack to the left end.
The east-facing side of the hall range has a segmental-headed window and a doorway on its left side. A 19th-century unit on the right side has a square-headed window. In the upper storey, there are two windows below the wall plate. The gable end of the 19th-century unit has a segmental-headed doorway on its left side. The east-facing side of the north wing has a single camber-headed doorway in the upper storey and a doorway below where a window formerly was. The north side wall has windows in the upper centre and lower left, and a blocked attic window at the uphill end.
Inside the hall, there are three chamfered ceiling beams with reed-moulded joists, which appear to be reused from another building. The main fireplace has a timber lintel and a recess to its left, possibly for a winding stair. The roof is three bays with collar beams. The floor levels are lower in the north wing, and its roof has two coupled principals.
