Description
Devon Terrace is a terrace of four houses built in the 19th century, featuring two storeys plus a basement. The exterior is finished in stucco with a slate roof and rectangular rendered chimneys. Notably, No 1 has inappropriate modern glazing.
The terrace is topped with a parapet above a dentil cornice, and each house has three windows separated from the others by pilasters. Each house includes a narrow recessed central bay with balusters on the parapet, which contains a narrow sash window with marginal glazing on the first floor. The outer bays also feature sash windows with marginal glazing.
On the ground floor, steps with balusters—though the balusters are missing at No 1—lead up to a recessed porch. The porches at Nos 2 and 4 are flanked by pillars, which have been removed from Nos 1 and 3. The ground floor and basement include a splayed bay window, primarily featuring small pane sash glazing.
