Description
The entrance gates and gate piers to Kilvrough Manor are made of cast iron and date from the 19th century. They are hung on octagonal piers that have square bases with broach stops and feature projecting pyramidal caps topped with finials. The main double gates consist of plain cast iron railings with decorative scrollwork on the sides. On the south side, there is a pedestrian gate that also has similar railings and scrollwork in the center. An intermediate pier located between the main and pedestrian gates is simpler in design, being square with a pyramidal cap. The gateway is flanked by stone piers, which also have pyramidal caps; these are attached to the lodge on the south side and mark the end of the boundary wall on the north side.
