Walkers Snack Foods Factory

Walkers Snack Foods Factory is a factory building featuring a symmetrical two-storey entrance block with 17 bays, designed in a restrained Art Deco style. The walls are rendered and painted white, while the roof is set behind a plain parapet topped with a blue-painted coping course. The windows on the lower storey are taller and have metal glazing bars also painted blue. The central entrance bay includes a canted fascia above the doorway, which has replaced double half-lit doors set in a doorway with margin glazing. Above the upper storey, there is a two-stage tapering clock tower that has a window in the lower stage and a clock positioned above a modern panel, with the tower's angles recessed.

The bays to the right and left of the center are slightly projected and rise above the parapet of the other bays. The windows are set within recessed panels. The outer seven bays on each side feature impost bands at the upper storeys, and the windows are recessed from the main façade between pilaster strips. The main angles at both ends of the building are recessed and splayed.

On the short three-bay return wall to the right, there are small metal-framed windows flanking a tall central stair light. The ten-bay left return wall includes a one-storey flat-roofed projection, above which is a blind window at the right end. To the left of this, there are four windows similar to those on the front, followed by an advanced blind bay in the center, and then four further blind windows to the left.

Behind the entrance block is the main factory block, which is top-lit and features four gabled bays. There are also further, higher metal-clad extensions located behind the main structure. The building has not been inspected.
