Description
This building, which includes the entry to Salubrious Passage, is constructed of red brick with freestone dressings, some of which are painted. It features a wide bracket cornice and a blocking course, although the blocking course has been removed at No 55. The roof is made of pantiles and has a brick stack, while full-height pilasters adorn the façade. There are three windows that have voussoir lintels and tripartite sash windows with small-pane glazing, although these have been removed at No 55. The ground floor has a modern frontage, but there is an older shop front with a splayed entrance leading to the passage. Inside Salubrious Passage, there is a row of cast-iron columns with modern arches that extend back into the passageway.
