Description
6 Wind Street is a three-storey building with an attic, featuring a three-bay ashlar front. The façade is adorned with paired pilasters in Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian styles from the ground to the top storey. The outer bays are splayed through the upper storeys, and the building has bracketed eaves with balustraded parapets. An open pediment treatment with an urn finial and twin swagged pilasters is present above the attic lunette. The outer dormers have segmental heads and are set in a steep slate roof, with brick stacks at each end.
The building includes stone mullioned and transomed bays, along with head and date cartouches on the first-floor frieze. A triglyph frieze is featured on the outer bays, and a central balcony is cantilevered on brackets over a five-bay ground floor that has arched openings. The entrance consists of double outer panelled doors topped with segmental pediments leading to fanlights.
Inside, there is a good cantilevered dog-leg staircase with turned balusters and finials.
