Description
The lamp at the center of the entrance forecourt at Singleton Abbey features a design that is strongly Gothic in style, but it has been executed in a more subdued Tudor manner. It consists of a tall, octagonal stone pillar that stands on a stepped granite base. The pillar is decorated with small columns (colonnettes) and topped with a swept and crenellated cap that supports a small modern cast-iron lamp standard.
