Description
14 Castle Street is a two-storey building with a two-window facade, primarily constructed of coursed rubble. It features a central doorway and has a proprietary slate roof. There is a red brick chimney stack at No 14, next to which a slightly higher cross range can be seen. Additionally, there is a rubble chimney stack projecting from the left end, topped with a brick cap. The windows are mostly small-pane, 12-pane sashes, and there is a splayed bay window at No 14, which is a hairdresser's. The doors are modern and boarded. To the right, a fireman's helmet is attached to the front of The Old Fire Station. The rear of the building includes cross ranges and modern additions.
Inside No 14, the entrance hall features stone flags, and there is a dog-leg staircase.
