Description

The Old Fire Station is a 2-storey building featuring a 2-window facade made mainly of coursed rubble, with a central doorway. It has a proprietary slate roof and a red brick chimney stack on No 14, which is next to a slightly higher cross range. There is also a rubble stack with a brick cap at the left end. The windows are mostly small-pane, 12-pane sashes, and there is a splayed bay window on No 14, which is used as a hairdresser's. The doors are modern and boarded. A fireman's helmet is attached to the front of The Old Fire Station on the right. The rear of the building includes cross ranges and modern additions.

Inside No 14, the entrance hall has stone flags and a dog-leg staircase.
