Description

Nos 3 and 4 Glamorgan Street are a pair of three-storey houses built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stone and have a cement-rendered front facing Glamorgan Street, which features five bays. The houses have a paired bracket eaves cornice and plain giant pilasters. The second floor has small windows, with centre and end sash windows that have moulded architraves, and tripartite windows in between.

On the first floor, there are narrow sash windows in the end and centre bays, while the intermediate sash windows are three panes wide. The centre window has a plain stuccoed architrave with a pediment, and the other windows have moulded architraves. The ground floor features narrow small-pane sash windows with stuccoed architraves and cornices in the end bays, a round-headed niche in the central bay, and tripartite sash windows with pilasters and entablatures in the intermediate bays. There are iron railings to the area, and the entrances are located in the return elevations, each of which has three bays styled similarly.

No. 4 has a plain round-headed doorcase. The interiors of both houses are well-preserved, featuring staircase lobbies off the side entrances, ceiling cornices, and panelled doors.
