Description
Nos 5 and 6 Glamorgan Street are a former pair of houses that have been converted into flats. The buildings are rendered and feature bands at the sill levels of the second and first floors, rusticated quoins, and a plinth. They have a slate roof and stone chimneys. The structure is three storeys high with a six-window front facing Glamorgan Street, and there are shallow projecting bays at each end. The windows have moulded architraves and are sash windows, three panes wide in reveals, with horns on the first floor.
In the centre, there are two adjoining doorways with half-glazed panelled doors, side lights, and plain semi-circular fanlights set within semi-circular headed arches that include keystones and pilasters. The rear elevation features three broad gables, each with two windows (small-pane sashes), and there is an extra narrow window in the end bay of number 6, along with a single-storey lean-to in the central bay.
The interiors are not easily accessible as they are now divided among several flats. However, number 5 is said to retain a staircase with twisted balusters.
