Description
This is a 19th-century barn built from squared grey sandstone rubble, featuring carefully cut quoins and a low-pitched metal sheeting roof that originally had Welsh slate. The barn is oriented lengthwise to the road and has central timber cart doors. The side walls are equipped with two tiers of slit vents. On the left gable, there is a taking-in door for the hayloft, with slit vents below indicating the presence of a tallet. The right gable also has two tiers of slit vents. At the apex of this gable, there is an inscribed stone that reads, "This building erected by John Morgan Esq. MDCCCXXXI." The rear elevation was not visible during the resurvey in May 1997, and the interior was also unavailable at that time.
