Description

Brook House is a two-storey building with a broad two-window front made of coursed rubble, featuring a plinth. It has a slate roof with a skylight, boarded eaves, and rubble end chimney stacks that have weathercoursing and moulded caps. The building includes voussoir lintels and keystones above four-pane sash windows. The central entrance is highlighted by a bracketed hood supported by reeded pilasters, with panelled reveals and a carved entablature, leading to a four-panel half-glazed door. There is a blocked basement opening to the right. A casement attic window on the left gable end is partially obscured due to the addition of Brooke Cottage in the later 19th century.
