Description
Sycamore is a nearly symmetrical Georgian building dating from the 18th century. It is two storeys high, with an attic and basement, and features a three-window front made of coursed rubble. The slate roof has swept-out boarded eaves and a cement render chimney stack on the right side. There are three pitched roof dormer windows, each with small pane casement windows. The sash windows below have freestone lintels, with 12 panes on the first floor and 16 panes on the ground floor; the right-hand windows are slightly offset. The entrance features a Regency doorcase with a bracket and a panelled hood over reeded pilasters, along with panelled reveals and a Gothic four-panelled door. To the left, there is a four-light basement window, while the right side has a broader opening. The rear of the building is whitewashed rubble and includes a cross range.
