Description
Brynhyfryd is a Georgian building dating from the 18th century, featuring two storeys and an attic. The front is made of coursed rubble with a plinth and has two windows. It has a steep slate roof with boarded eaves and a red brick chimney stack. A central pitched roof dormer contains paired casement windows. The first floor has voussoirs, while the ground floor features freestone lintels. All the 12-pane sash windows are offset to the left. To the left, there is a recessed entrance with a 6-panel door and a 2-pane fanlight, along with outside steps. A cellar opening is located to the right. At the rear, there is a small pane leaded glass window and a red brick cross range to the left rear, which includes horned sash windows.
Inside, the building retains its original roof timbers and features an open well staircase. The taller building to the left, No 25, is a Victorian rebuild of the former coach house associated with this property.
