Description
Castle Du Cottage is a former row of cottages that has been converted into a house. It features white painted rubble stone with an imitation slate roof and four roughcast brick chimneys. The building is a long range, two storeys high. At the right end, there is a double-fronted section with two 9-pane Brecon hopper windows on each floor and a central door. This section has cambered brick heads and stone sills, with chimneys at both ends.
Adjacent to this is a two-bay section that has a central chimney. It includes similar 9-pane sash windows above and 12-pane sash windows below, both with tooled stone sills, but this section does not have a door. The final section to the left is set back and also two-bay, featuring a chimney at the left end. It has a 12-pane sash window on the left side and a 9-pane sash window on the right, with brick heads and stone voussoirs above a door that has a timber lintel and stone shelf. All windows have stone sills. There is a single-storey addition at the right end of the building. The interior has not been inspected.
