Description

Trephilip is a country house built of rubble stone, which was likely originally stuccoed, featuring deep-eaved hipped roofs. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with a three-bay front range and a long three-bay rear wing. The front elevation includes long sash windows on each floor, with 12 panes above and 15 panes below, and a central door set within a large stuccoed porch that has two front columns, pilaster responds, a deep frieze, cornice, and a low parapet. There is a stucco sill band beneath the first floor. The right end of the house features a tall chimney with double shafts, while the left end has a similar sash window on each floor and a stucco band.

The rear wing has a small brick ridge chimney located towards the hipped left end, with three widely spaced 9-pane sashes above that are not aligned with the ground floor's 12-pane sash. It also includes a large porch, a 12-pane sash window, and a prominent timber bay window. The porch is enclosed and features a pediment gable and a square-headed doorway. The bay window is square and has four lights on the front, with single lights on the sides, featuring mullion-and-transom glazing. There is a single-storey lower range beyond the rear wing that includes a loft. The interior has not been inspected.
