Description
Defynnog House, also known as Ty Defynnog, is a house constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, featuring an imitation slate roof and a stone stack at the south end. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range that includes 19th-century horned four-pane sash windows with slate sills. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with fielded panels and a three-pane overlight above. A hipped door hood, also in imitation slate, covers the entrance. There are thin string courses above the first-floor windows and beneath the eaves, and the ground floor windows have cambered heads. The north end wall has no openings. The rear of the house has 20th-century windows and is roughcast, extending to three storeys and an attic. There is a whitewashed rubble wing at a right angle to the main house, which has a brick end stack, garage doors leading to the basement, and a door and window positioned above. The interior has not been inspected.
