Description

The Forge, located at No 3 Church Row, is a Grade II listed terrace house built from rubble stone, featuring a slate roof with deep eaves and red brick chimneys. The roof has a scalloped eaves board, and the chimneys have renewed red brick shafts set diagonally, positioned on the ridge behind a projecting gable that is close to the party wall with No 2.

This two-storey house has a three-window range, with a projecting gable on the right side. The gable showcases scalloped bargeboards, a tooled sandstone plinth, and windows with deep chamfered jambs, stone sills, and moulded sandstone hoodmoulds above timber lintels. The gable itself has a single light window, while the ground floor features a three-light window with a mullion and transom. The main range to the left has two small windows under the eaves, both with chamfered jambs and stone sills; the left window is narrower. Below these, there is a similar three-light window with a hoodmould and a segmental-pointed chamfered doorway that has a studded board door with iron strap hinges.

At the rear, there are two windows on each floor, designed in the Brecon hopper style. The interior has not been inspected.
