Description
The barn at Greenmeadow Farm is a large threshing barn built from local purple random sandstone rubble and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The south side of the barn is obscured by trees, but it features slit vents arranged in two tiers on either side of the cart doors, which have been replaced with corrugated steel sheeting. Above the doors, there is a small plaque inscribed with "WWM 1761." On the yard side, there are four slit vents to the left of the cart doors and two vents above the cowhouse door on the right. Slit vents are also present in the gable ends.
Inside, the barn has a five-bay roof supported by four triangular trusses that include ashlar pieces, along with three tiers of purlins, a ridge piece, and secondary rafters, all of which are intact. The timber hayloft floor is also complete, along with the cowhouse located below.
