Description
Fro Bridge, also known as Canal Bridge No 122, is a single-span hump-backed bridge made of rubble sandstone, featuring a segmental arch and continuous parapets. The arch is constructed with thin voussoirs and has a keystone on the west side. On the east side, which is downstream, there is a cast iron plaque displaying the bridge number in relief. The parapets are splayed to the northeast and southwest, following the curve of the road. On the northwest side, the parapet ends in a pier, while the southeast end is straight but reinforced with a buttress. The copings consist of flat stones on the west side and concrete on the east side. Additionally, the bridge has been strengthened by 16 iron ribs in the arch soffit, with concrete placed between them.
