Description

The building is a three-bay open-sided hay barn located on the west side of the farmyard. It dates from the 18th century and features almost full-height round-headed openings. The structure is made of snecked grey stone with stone dressings, including voussoirs, and is topped with a slate roof that has a central panel of diamond tiles on the east pitch. Both the east and west elevations consist of three bays, while the north and south gable ends each have one round arch with a smaller square opening beneath the apex. The arch on the north gable end is flanked by projecting timber beams, likely intended to assist with lifting. The south gable end includes a five-bay extension with full-height openings and stone piers.
