Description
This is a 16th or 17th century barn located at Lower Maestorglwydd. The walls are mostly rebuilt in neatly squared stone, with an area on the west side made of stone beneath corrugated metal cladding. The roof is covered with corrugated iron.
The corrugated iron on the west side hides timber-framing, with two heights of square panels still visible, which have been replaced at the base with stone and do not include wattle and daub. The entrance is flanked by pair posts that have square-cut jowls. The roof consists of five bays, with the northern bay truncated, featuring a tie beam, collar, and three tiers of heavy purlins.
