Description
The lychgate to the Church of St Cynwyl is made of painted oak and features a slate hipped roof. It has two square posts with arch-braces on all four sides. The eastern and western posts support cross-beams with moulded ends; the longer outer beams carry the roof hip, while the inner beams support the roof ridge. The posts extend above the cross-beams up to the ridge. There is diagonal boarding beneath the slates and shaped ends on the rafters. The lychgate also includes two iron gates with spearhead rails and dog-bars, as well as crested clay ridge tiles.
