Description
The gates and railings at Bethel Calvinistic Methodist Chapel are designed in a parabolic curve plan. They feature low walls made of rock-faced stone, topped with painted slate ridged coping, which rise in steps to follow the contour of the hill from the central entrance gates. The low cast-iron railings have an intersected pattern, with both top and bottom rails and spearhead finials. The central double gates are hung on two slender square cast-iron posts that have cornices and urn finials. The gates themselves have a design similar to the railings but consist of three slightly varied rows and include a double bottom rail.
