Description
Pont Newydd is a double-carriageway bridge made of rubble stone, built with a ramp leading to the center. It features a single arch over the Afon Gwili, along with smaller subsidiary arches that support the battered approaches. The segmental arches are constructed with dressed voussoirs. The bridge has a parapet with rock-faced copings, which continues as a wall on the eastern side and flares out on the western side.
