Description

A rubble-stone bridge of 2 unequal segmental arches, with the lower and narrower arch on the W side (R bank). The earlier phase is on the N (upstream) side. It has a V-shaped cutwater with pyramidal cap. A butt joint separates the original bridge from the extension on the S side. This has broad central and outer pilasters, and freestone voussoirs with projecting keystones. The later rubble-stone parapet has plain copings (partly replaced in concrete on the SE side), and is splayed out at the ends.
