Description
Croesffordd is an estate cottage built from rubble stone, featuring a deep eaved roof covered with 20th-century concrete tiles. The eaves have a decorative fretted board, while the bargeboards appear plain and may have been altered. A tall chimney made of yellow brick is located on the rear roof slope, with panelled sides and a cornice.
The windows are charming timber cross-windows, which include bead-moulding on the cross-mullion and small panes. They are adorned with stone voussoirs, raised keystones (some made from Llangadog red stone), stone hoodmoulds, and stone sills. The front of the cottage has a former door that now features a 20th-century cross-window to the left, and a window to the right with a keystone dated 1867. The end walls each have a similar window on the ground floor and a pair of small casements above for the loft, with the upper windows having flat slab lintels. The lower window on the right side is blank.
On the left side, there is a 20th-century single-storey porch made of rubble stone, added to the left of the gable end, with a board door that has been reused from the original doorway. At the rear, there is an outshut with a plain square stack made of yellow bricks similar to those on the main chimney, located on the right side. Attached to the left corner of the cottage is a small gabled outbuilding positioned at right angles.
