Description
Holly Lodge is an estate cottage built from rubble stone, featuring a slate eaves roof and tall stone end chimneys made of squared tooled stone with stepped cornices. The building has a tall one and a half storey facade that is double fronted, showcasing 12-pane sash windows and a central door. The lower windows are adorned with stone voussoirs, while the upper windows, which are of equal size, break the eaves and have heads under slated gables that project forward of the sashes on the same plane as the eaves. The gables have slate-hung sides and triangular painted timber pediments positioned in front of the window heads, each decorated with a lozenge panel. The door is set within a large later 20th-century roughcast porch, which features fixed glazing in the front window and a door on the right side; this porch was dated 1981. The end walls of the cottage are windowless. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
