Description

This is a small, 18th-century farmhouse constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof that has deep eaves and end chimneys. The right-hand chimney is rendered, while the left has been rebuilt in red brick. The house has one and a half storeys and a double-fronted facade with an asymmetrical arrangement of windows. The front door is positioned closer to the right-hand window. Windows are casement-pair designs featuring stone voussoirs, keystones, and stone sills. Ground-floor windows have stone hoodmoulds while those in the half-storey break the eaves and are set within small stone gables decorated with fretted bargeboards. The front door itself is broad, with stone voussoirs and a keystones, and is fitted with a plank door and cover strips. A 20th-century brick porch has bargeboards similar to those on the gables. One pane of the right-hand ground-floor window is inscribed with "Edwd Jones Esqr" and a bird.

Inside, the house has a centre passage plan, with a kitchen to the left and a parlour to the right. The hall and kitchen have tiled floors, and the hall also features a boarded dado. The kitchen includes an enclosed staircase along the rear wall and a fireplace containing an early 20th-century range. The ceiling is supported by joists, and the doors are made of timber.
