Description
5 George Hill is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high. It features a colourwashed roughcast exterior on a rubble base, with cement dressings. The roof is moderately pitched and covered with slate, showcasing plain eaves, deep verges, and plain bargeboards. There is a rendered stack on the rear pitch.
On the first floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows, with the one on the right being offset to the left and having its horizontal glazing bar on the upper sash removed. The ground floor has a similar 12-pane sash window to the left, while to the right, there is a recessed doorway topped by a rectangular fanlight with four panes over a four-panel door, both featuring cement architraves.
The right gable end has a 12-pane sash window, and below it on the ground floor is a larger, similar window.
