Description

Bank House is a 19th-century building featuring a facade with painted render and band courses, arranged in a three-window layout. It has a pitched slate roof with tall rendered and banded stacks and oversailing eaves. The windows are 4-pane sashes, and there is an iron-bar grille on the ground floor to the right. The entrance consists of a panelled door beneath a semi-circular fanlight, with steps that are flanked by scrolled ironwork railings. At the rear, there is a cross-gabled wing.

Inside, the building showcases late Georgian detailing on all floors, including panelled window splays, panelled doors, and chimney pieces. The front hall features arched screens with turned fanlights, and there is a plain dogleg staircase. The doorcases on the first floor are adorned with reeded architraves.
