Description
1 George Hill is a late 19th-century building featuring two storeys and a cellar, with a three-window facade and a carriage entry bay on the right. The exterior is finished in colourwashed plaster over rubble, topped by a moderately pitched slate roof with oversailing eaves, exposed rafters, deep verges, and exposed purlins.
On the first floor, there are Victorian sash windows, including one above the cambered carriage entry. A string course runs along the building, and the ground floor has Victorian sash windows flanking a central doorway, which is topped by a gabled hood supported by timber brackets. Above the half-glazed door is a rectangular fanlight.
The gable end faces Bank Terrace and features a blind roundel at the apex. The first floor has two Victorian sash windows, with similar windows on the ground floor, and cellar openings are located below.
