Description

This is a late 19th-century cast-iron milepost with a triangular shape on a square base, featuring a hollow back and a pyramidal head. The base is marked with 'Old Foundry Co Carmarthen'. On the left side of the main part, it indicates distances to Llandyssil (7 miles) and Carmarthen (18 miles). On the right side, it shows distances to Newcastle Emlyn (1 mile) and Cardigan (11 miles). There is a matching milepost located one mile west on Cardigan Road. The condition of the milepost is good, but it is not properly secured.
