Description
The milepost at Cynheidre is a cast-iron structure that stands approximately 600 millimeters high, featuring a separate capping. Each of the post's faces measures about 350 millimeters wide and meets at a right angle. One side indicates "TO LLANELLY 5 [MILES]" while the opposite side shows "TO CARMARTHEN 10 [MILES]", with the town names displayed in boldly raised serif lettering arranged in an arch form. The capping has an inclined triangular face over each main face, with the triangles converging at the apex. The capping is not bolted to the main casting, and no foundry mark is visible.
