Description

St Peter's Civic Hall is a terraced building that has a stucco exterior and a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and features three bays with a moulded timber eaves cornice. There is a rainwater head on the left side of the building. The façade includes bands at the sill levels and window openings that are framed with moulded architraves. The first floor has twelve-pane sash windows, while the second floor and ground floor have nine-pane sash windows, with small 20th-century single lights on each side of a broad 20th-century entry. A red brick relieving arch was uncovered during works in 2001. The entire front of the building was renewed in 2002. The ground floor is entirely of 20th-century construction, while there are remnants of a 19th-century stair in the upper floors.
