Description
Glanyravon Ddu Ganol Farmhouse is an early 19th-century, two-storey building featuring a three-window symmetrical roughcast front. It has a steeply pitched slate roof with bracketed wooden soffits and slated barges, along with rendered gable chimney stacks, the one on the left being thicker. The central entrance consists of a planked door with a plain overlight above. The upper floor has three windows fitted with 16-pane hornless sashes, while the ground floor has 12-pane hornless sashes. A raised cemented string runs along the first-floor sill level.
To the left, there is a slightly later adjoining wing that includes a tall rendered square lateral chimney stack. The right-hand return elevation is made of whitewashed rubble, and the rear elevation of the house remains unaltered and also whitewashed. The first floor features three small 9-pane hornless sashes with cambered heads supported by stone voussoirs. The ground floor has similar heads above the three windows, with two examples having 12-pane hornless sashes and a two-light 12-pane casement on the left. The service wing has two larger 9-pane hornless sashes on the first floor, with matching heads, and a central ground floor window that mirrors this design. The main entry is located to the left of this window, featuring a planked door with a similar head, and there is an additional door on the right side.
The farmhouse is set within a small front garden, which is enclosed by low whitewashed rubble walls. There is a wide central gateway with a splayed entry, and a hand-gate located to the right against the house wall.
