Description
The building is an early to mid 18th century single-storey cowhouse located southeast of Glanyravon Ddu Ganol Farmhouse. It is constructed from whitewashed rubble and features a corrugated iron roof, with the chimneys having been removed. The structure has a low plinth and consists of a former dwelling on the right and a byre on the left.
There is a central doorway leading to the house, which was likely added in the 19th century, featuring a timber lintel and a planked door. On either side of this doorway are small windows, both with timber lintels and broken casements. A doorway on the left side is blocked. The byre elevation has a door to the right, also with a timber lintel and a planked door. To the left, there are two doorways with planked doors; the one on the right has a timber lintel, while the one on the left has a concrete lintel.
The south return elevation was rebuilt around 1950 and includes a window with brick quoins and head, as well as a half-timbered gable. The north return elevation features ground floor and loft doors, both with timber lintels and planked doors, and another half-timbered gable.
Inside, there are six pairs of scarfed crucks, with three pairs featuring collar beams and pegged purlins. A later loft has been inserted into the structure.
