Description

This building is a house dating from around 1860, featuring unpainted render and a hipped slate roof with two stacks on the rear ridges. The front has two storeys and three windows, which are hornless 12-pane sashes. The central entrance consists of a two-panel door with an overlight, set within a Roman Doric porch supported by two columns and topped with a painted timber entablature. Slate sills are present throughout. The south end wall has two windows similar to the front, while the north end wall features a long stair-light. There is also a one-window range in the southwest rear return. The area around the front and south side walls is paved with slate.

Attached to the west is a roughcast rear wing of similar height, which is three storeys tall with a three-window south front. This wing has four-pane sashes on the main floors and 12-pane sashes on the top floor, along with ridge and west end stacks. It is noted that the rear wing may incorporate an earlier two-storey farmhouse.

Additionally, there is a two-storey outbuilding from the 19th century attached to the west. This outbuilding is constructed of rubble stone with brick heads over the lower openings and square upper loft windows located under the eaves. The front wall has been buttressed with steel supports as of 1992.

Inside, the building retains mid to late 19th-century fireplaces and features pierced cast-iron balusters on the staircase.
