Description
The Monthly Tutor's Cottage is an attached house built from whitewashed stone rubble, featuring a slate roof and rendered brick end stacks. It is two storeys high and double-fronted, with a central roof light. The upper storey has two 9-pane sash windows, while the lower storey has a 12-pane sash window on either side of the central doorway, which has a 20th-century door. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to with whitewashed walls, partially made of brick and stone rubble, topped with a slate roof. This lean-to has a doorway on the left, a small 20th-century window on the right, and two small 20th-century casement windows in the end wall of the stone rubble section. At the rear, which faces the road, there is a single 12-pane sash window in the centre of the upper storey and a similar window in the outer bays of the lower storey. The previous listing noted that the main roof was made of grouted cement and the lean-to roof was covered with corrugated iron.
