Description

East Dunston is a farmhouse constructed from squared rubble stone, featuring an imitation slate roof with close eaves and three red brick stacks that were rebuilt in the 20th century. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window range, consisting of a three-bay house on the right and a service wing on the left, both under a continuous roof.

The farmhouse has four-pane sash windows with sandstone lintels that are lined as voussoirs, tooled sills, and flat dripstones that were originally adorned with deep labels, now cut back. There are four windows on the upper floor, three longer windows on the lower floor, and two doors with matching heads. The main house door is located beneath the third window and features a 20th-century French window, while the service door is to the right of the left window and is a 20th-century half-glazed design. The corners of the building have tooled quoins, and there is a slate date plaque in the upper left corner. The end walls are rendered, and there is an outshut at the rear with a rubble stone wall that includes five windows. The front court is enclosed by a low rubble stone wall.

To the right of the farmhouse is an attached outbuilding made of whitewashed rubble stone, which is a single storey and also features an imitation slate roof. It has a door on the left and a vent loop on the right.

The property has not been inspected.
