Description
Highmead Lodge is a house built with painted stucco and features hipped concrete tile roofs, along with roughcast end wall stacks. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window east front facing the garden, with a southeast rear wing. The front displays 12-pane sash windows and a central 20th-century six-panel door with an overlight. There is a raised stucco surround around the door, which may indicate the former presence of a porch.
The south side of the house has irregular glazing, including a 12-pane fixed light on the first floor to the right and a large 12-pane window on the ground floor, both set within the end wall of the front range. Additionally, there is a large arched stair light above a small basement light, followed by an arched small-paned window on the ground floor that may have replaced a door. At the extreme left, there is a first-floor 12-pane sash window. The end wall window was originally a door. The rear of the house has added outshuts.
The front range was not inspected, and the rear kitchen has been modernised.
