Description

Llandre-Egremont Farmhouse is a 3-storey, 3-window Georgian house built from whitened rubble stone with a slate roof and brick sawtooth eaves, featuring stone stacks at each end. The openings have flat keyed arches, except for those on the upper storey, which are positioned beneath the eaves. The central entrance includes a half-glazed panelled door dating from around 1900 and is located within an added flat-roofed conservatory that occupies the center and right side of the house. Most windows have been replaced in their original openings, except for the lower right window inside the conservatory, which has been converted into a doorway. Beneath the sill of the central upper storey window, there is a tablet displaying the date and a heraldic achievement in low relief. The asymmetrical gable ends feature two inserted windows on the left side and a replaced window on the lower left of the right side, which also has a flat-roofed porch. On the left side of the gable, there is a shallow opening believed to have been for a bell. An added 2-storey rear wing, which is continuous with the right gable end but separated by a vertical joint, has replaced windows in its side walls. The rear of the main range also has replaced windows, and a former doorway on the lower right has been converted into a window.
