Description
31 West Street is a single-storey house that is part of a row of similar homes, each with forecourts enclosed by stone rubble walls. The building features modern cladding and an imitation slate roof that is close-eaved, with stone stacks on either side; the left stack is rendered. There is a large four-pane horned sash window without glazing bars on each side of a central rectangular doorway. The doorway has an overlight and a four-panel door with moulded borders on the upper panels, and slate sills.
The front garden wall is made of rendered stone and has roughly embattled grey stone coping, with central gate piers topped by grey stone pyramidal caps. There are two steps, one of slate, leading up to a 19th-century iron gate. The gate features uprights with stud finials that rise alternately above the middle and top rails.
The property has not been inspected.
