Description
Prospect Cottage is a two-storey semi-detached house that is continuous with No 1. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a slate gabled roof. The building has a very large external chimney breast on the west end, which is clad in 20th-century painted roughcast and has sloping sides with a square stack.
The front of the house has two bays, which are significantly offset to the left. The doorway is located to the left and features a half-glazed 20th-century door, stone voussoirs, and a later 19th-century slate canopy supported by curved wood brackets. To the right of the door is a hornless 12-pane sash window, also with stone voussoirs. On the first floor, there are two square sash windows located under the eaves; the left window is a horned 4-pane sash, while the right window is a hornless 6-pane sash. Both windows have painted slate sills.
Inside, there are two unchamfered ceiling beams, with the joists concealed.
