Description

20 Main Street is a narrow house with a shop front, featuring painted roughcast over a ground floor of stucco, similar to No 18. The slate roof is much lower than the buildings on either side. The left end of the first floor has rusticated quoins that match those on No 18. The building is a two-storey structure with a single-window range, which includes one 4-pane sash window above the ground floor shopfront. The shopfront has a recessed door to the right of a 2-pane plate glass window. There is a 20th-century half-glazed door with a plain overlight. The upper window is adorned with fluted pilasters and a moulded keystone, consistent with the design of No 18, and a wide moulded band with a keystone runs above the shopfront. In a previous listing, the roof was noted to be of grouted cement.
