Description
The war memorial is made of grey granite and features a Celtic cross with a tapering shaft and interlace decoration. It stands on a two-part base, with the upper part tapering and inscribed with the names of those from the parish of Lampeter Velfrey who fell in the Great War. The lower part of the base is a square block that has a marble slab affixed to it, commemorating the fallen from the Second World War.
The memorial is positioned on a concrete plinth with a chamfered top edge. It is accessed by a flight of four rounded limestone steps that rise to the rear, all set within a half-round recess in the churchyard wall, which is faced with battered, roughly-coursed limestone masonry.
