Description

Hilltop is a terraced house dating from the 19th century, featuring painted roughcast walls and a slate roof with overhanging eaves. The roof is interrupted by two late 19th-century stuccoed gabled dormers. The left end stack is a renewed red brick. The house has two storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a total of three bays. It includes plate-glass sash windows, with two in the dormers that are not aligned, three on the first floor, and two on the ground floor, along with an arched doorway to the right. There are two basement lights, one of which is blank. A flight of five slate-topped steps leads to a recessed six-panel door, where the top four panels are glazed, accompanied by a fanlight with radiating bars. Above the door, there is a late 19th-century moulded cornice supported by console brackets.

Inside, there is an early 19th-century staircase featuring a continuous rail and square balusters, with scrolled tread ends. The front room boasts a delicate timber chimneypiece, likely from the early 19th century, and thick cornices that are probably from the late 19th century.
